A. Sessions last 50 minutes.
Q. What can I expect from my session?
A. In your first session, your therapist will typically ask you some questions to find out about your main difficulties and what you would like help with. They may ask you about past difficulties, your family, your childhood, relationships, current symptoms and the impact your difficulties are having on your day-to-day life. It can be difficult to talk about your feelings but your therapist should make you feel comfortable and at ease. You will hopefully agree a plan about what type of therapy is appropriate for you and how many therapy sessions you may need. It may take a few sessions for your therapist to fully understand your difficulties and decide on the best course of treatment for you. On-going sessions will be with the same counsellor wherever possible.

A. I’m afraid not, as babylon is a private service and not funded through the NHS. The price for therapy sessions is £49.

If your therapist thinks that you are a serious risk to yourself or others, or someone else may be at risk, then they have a duty of care to report this to the relevant parties/organisations. Where possible the therapist will discuss this with you. If you have any questions regarding this, please discuss with your therapist.
