Dr. Fiona Kelly
(MB, BCH, BAO, BMedSc)
Dr Fiona Kelly graduated from University College Cork in 2004 with an honours degree in Medicine (MB, BCH, BAO, BMedSc). She completed the four year Cork Vocational GP Training Scheme in 2009 and achieved MICGP.
Dr Kelly also has a Masters in Sports and Exercise Medicine (MMedSc) from University College Cork. Other postgraduate qualifications include four diplomas – Diploma in Obstetrics and Women’s Health (DOWH), Diploma in Child Health (DCH), Diploma in Clinical Psychiatry (DCP) and a Diploma in Therapeutics. She also has postgraduate certificates in Geriatric Medicine, Diabetes, Family Planning and Insertion of Long Acting Reversible Contraceptive Devices (LARCs).
Her special interests include child health, women’s health, geriatric medicine, psychiatry, sports and exercise medicine, preventative medicine, travel medicine and substance misuse.
Fiona is currently a GP partner in a busy rural practice in West Cork where she looks after both GMS and private patients. she is on the Specialist Register with the Irish Medical Council. She also provides medical cover for various sporting events – horse-racing, triathlons, road races and the International Rally of the Lakes.
In her free time she enjoys hill-walking, travelling and relaxing with family and friends. She also very much enjoys attending medical conferences, courses and GP study days.
