Q. What is 'Clinical records' for?
A. This is your health history hub. Here you can store information about your past medications, your past conditions, your family history, and your allergies. You can also access recordings of your previous babylon consultations, and view your 'Ask a question' history.
Q. Who has access to my consultation recordings?
A. All recordings are encrypted and accessible only to you and restricted members of the babylon senior clinical management team managing your care, for the purpose of ensuring exceptional quality of service.
Q. Do my NHS records get transferred immediately to babylon?
A. No. babylon is a private healthcare provider, and like all private healthcare providers we can't access your NHS records when you register. What we can do is provide you with the means of sharing everything you know about yourself with us ahead of your consultation. From your first consultation onwards we will be building your health history with us.
Please remember that when you consult with a babylon GP you can choose to have a summary of your consultation sent to your regular GP, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
Q. What if I can't remember everything?
A. Don't worry, tell us everything you can remember and over time we'll work out the rest. The most important thing is you're now getting the support you need, when you need it.
Q. Why are they password protected?
A. Your 'Clinical records' is the only place in the app where your clinical information is stored. This information isn't saved on your phone, instead you access it through your phone. Until you enter your password everything in your 'Clinical records' is encrypted and stored on secure servers here in the UK. This is a security precaution, and it means that your information is doubly protected.
