Helen Rutherford has been a practising counsellor for 9 years, and became a counselling supervisor in 2013. She specialises in disability and illness, with a special interest in the promotion of psychological services for all. Helen is founder of Emotional Respite Disability Counselling Service. This year she is appearing as a guest speaker at the annual OCTIA conference, and her presentation is entitled “Online therapy for those affected by disability and illness”.
Outside of work, Helen has many interests including music, photography, art, reading, theatre, cookery, travel and film. She enjoys creative relaxation with glass painting and sewing.
