If you're using babylon from within the UK you can speak to a doctor within minutes between the hours of 8am and 8pm, 7 days a week. If you're using babylon in Ireland, you can speak to a GP within minutes between the hours of 8am and 8pm Monday to Saturday.
Q. How do I book a GP consultation?
A. To book a consultation to speak with a GP, start on the main home page of the website. In the top right-hand corner you will see a box marked 'Join' - click on this. Follow the registration instructions, if you have already registered simply sign-in using the same information. You will then be able to select 'Book a Consultation' on the home-page of our web app. You will be prompted to select a date and time and whether or not you would prefer a phone or video consultation. Enter any additional notes or a photo you would like the GP to see and tap on 'Book a Consultation' at the bottom of the screen.
Q. If I book a consultation on my desktop, can I have the consultation on my phone?
A. Yes, if you are logged out of your web account, or if your computer is either sleeping or shut-down your appointment will go ahead on your phone.
Q. Can I cancel my appointment?
A. Yes. Sign-in to your profile on the website and select 'Clinical records'. Click on Appointments, select the upcoming appointment you wish to cancel and click Cancel. You will receive an email confirming your cancellation.
Q. Will I be charged for cancelling my appointment?
A. If you are a Pay-as-you-go member, you can cancel appointments up to two hours before your consultation without any further charge. If you book a consultation by mistake, you have five minutes after booking to cancel the appointment before you are charged.
If you have subscribed, there will be no additional charge for GP appointments or cancellations.
Q. I had connection issues and missed my consultation, will I be refunded?
A. No. You need to ensure that at the time of your consultation you have a good WiFi or mobile internet connection.

Q. I missed my appointment, what do I do?
A. The easiest way to speak with a doctor is to book another consultation. If you think you're having technical difficulties or connection issues please ensure you have good WiFi or mobile internet connection before the time of your appointment. If you continue to experience issues please email firstname.lastname@example.org and a member of our operations team will be in contact as quickly as possible.
Q. Can I see a consultant at babylon face to face in person?
A. No all of our consultations are held virtually. If a physical examination is required then the GP or specialist will request that you have further tests externally.
Q. Can I request to have the same consultant each time?
A. Unfortunately not. The GP available will depend on the day and time requested. The GP you book a consultation with will, however, be able to refer to your previous appointment notes.
Q. Can I choose a female or male GP?
A. We do not currently have the option to choose a female or male GP in the app. Please contact us at email@example.com if this is an issue and our clinical support team will assist you.
Q. What happens with my consultation recording?
A. To reassure you to begin with, babylon will never give any other organisation access to personal data, and holds all personal data with technical and organisational security which complies with the keeping of health records.

Don't worry, all recordings are encrypted and accessible to you, your therapist and members of the babylon clinical team managing your care, for the purpose of ensuring exceptional quality of service.
