Brian Skiba

Brian Skiba was the second employee of Babylon in the USA. He has held a series of jobs, initially responsible for the building of a world-class technology team comprised of product management and development, product design, software engineering team and professional services teams. His blitzscaling skills assembled this 85+ person team in a matter of 8 months. Once the technology hub in Austin, Texas was built out for Babylon, he transitioned to the Global Head of Corporate Development, overseeing strategic investments and acquisitions with a team operating in North America, Europe/UK and Southeast Asia. Brian has led investments and acquisitions for the company since 2019. Prior to joining Babylon, Brian served as General Manager at Snow Software after it acquired Intelligent Licensing; a firm Brian Co-founded and served as Chairman and CEO for 3 years. This firm counted as customers over 125 of the largest 1000 companies as enterprise customers across the globe. Prior to this, Brian was Chairman and President of MaxID, a South-African based firm focused in field-based biometric identity solutions for governments, military, and homeland security. Prior to returning to industry, Brian was a Wall Street Managing Director/Partner in equity research, strategy, and M&A banking. He helped underwrite over 42 capital market transactions across 10 countries, raising more than $5 billion in IPOs and secondary offerings for technology companies in the public and private markets. Brian was also responsible for more than $1 billion worth of cross-border mergers & acquisitions. He Wall Street career included work at Deutsch Bank, Lehman Brothers, Cowen & Company and Arma Partners over a 15-year period. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University, an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and completed the coursework towards a Master of Applied Science in Software Engineering at Boston University. He is on the Advisory Board at the University of Texas School of Natural Sciences Computer Science Program.
