About Dr. Ron Cohen

Dr. Ron Cohen brings over 35 years of experience as a psychiatrist and family therapist to his work with Babylon. With 17 years of experience in individual family systems coaching, Dr. Cohen specializes in counseling adolescents, teens, and adults through life-cycle challenges and unexpected family crises. These situations include young adults leaving home for the first time, parenting, caring for elderly parents, divorce, substance abuse, and job loss, among others. Dr. Cohen has treated a number of mental health issues, including anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, divorce, grief, life coaching, parenting, peer relationships, and self esteem struggles.

Working with individuals, couples, and families, Dr. Cohen provides counseling based on the needs of his patients and the situation. One of his specialties is individual family systems counseling, in which he counsels one person at a time through family issues. This helps prevent influence or sabotage in the session and helps him get a more thorough picture of the issues. He also provides mindfulness-based and emotionally-focused therapy and works to keep patients healthy and informed. Dr. Cohen uses his counseling sessions to help patients develop coping strategies and prevent future mental health crises wherever possible.

Dr. Cohen lives in and works out of New York.
