What to expect
If you’ve never experienced a video medical appointment before, the first one might feel intimidating. But try not to feel nervous. Our goal is to make it as simple and convenient as possible for you.
1. Book an appointment
Decide on a time that’s convenient for you and book an appointment through the Babylon app or on your web browser.
2. Starting the appointment
Make sure you’re in a quiet, private location and log into your Babylon account from your phone, laptop or desktop. If you are joining from your phone, enable notifications for the Babylon app. Your provider will call you through whatever device you are on, also from a quiet and private location.
3. During the appointment
Once you’re connected, you and your provider will discuss the symptoms or issue you’re experiencing.
4. Getting treatment
Your provider will make a recommendation based on your discussion and your medical history. If needed, they may write a prescription, order tests, refer you to a local specialist, or advise you to self-monitor.
5. After your appointment
Your provider’s notes from your appointment will be added to your account with any test results.
6. Always safe, always private
Everything you discuss during your appointment will stay private and confidential between you, your provider, and any staff assisting with providing services.

Safety and convenience through telehealth
When you book an appointment with an online doctor, you're getting all the care of a doctor's office from the convenience of your own home. You can quickly set up a standard visit with your primary care doctor, get a specialist or lab referral, or arrange an urgent care virtual visit (for non-life-threatening medical emergencies). Telemedicine services bring the doctor visits to you. Discuss your health concerns and underlying health conditions privately over video chat. Your doctor can set up a treatment plan and prescribe medications for pick up or delivery, based on your pharmacy.
Telehealth is perfect for at-risk or remote patients who have trouble getting into a doctor's office. Set up an appointment without worrying about contracting something from another patient. If traveling is difficult, or the doctor is too far away, virtual healthcare brings the medical professional to you.
Telehealth services aim for full accessibility to healthcare. That's why we've made our service as simple and transparent as possible. Download the Babylon App and input the code given to you by your health insurance provider to start meeting with a virtual doctor. You can see all of your medical care through the app and stay informed.
While a virtual doctor can address everything from routine appointments to urgent care, some medical conditions still require in-person assessment. In case of a life-threatening emergency, call 911 or go to the emergency room.
